Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Betão Souto took the kick off in the first half of the match. Valdir Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Romero having to interfere. Teodoro Marques took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diogo Maciel. Diogo Maciel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Teodoro Marques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo Maciel. Preguicas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Marques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 18 minutes into the game, André Luís Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serji EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Preguicas the free kick. In the 18th minute, André Luís Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdir Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Barral in the 24th minute of play forced Serji EC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serji EC's Leopoldo Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Martins in the 34th minute of play. Serji EC's Teodoro Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Serji EC got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Leal. The supporters of Serji EC booed when Preguicas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdir Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carlos Eduardo Torres fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serji EC's protests and gave Carlos Eduardo Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Eduardo Torres hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Arlindo Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Diogo Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Marques in the 58th minute of play. Diogo Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Marques in the 63rd minute of the match. Valdir Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Leopoldo Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Martins struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Leopoldo Romero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Preguicas. Leopoldo Romero made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Arlindo Martins sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Flavinho de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match Mathias Saldanha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Romero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 88 played minutes Preguicas got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Mello. After 89 played minutes, Serji EC's Gugu Mandrak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diogo Maciel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Serji EC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Valdir Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preguicas's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Preguicas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Serji EC.
