In the 56th minute, Elano Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Fontes in the 58th minute of play forced Frances's goalkeeper Alexsandro Lopez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evandro Carvalho got free with Alexsandro Lopez in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Evandro Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexsandro Lopez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 71st minute, Evandro Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes Dedé de Queiroz rounded Frances's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Frances's zone, Evandro Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexsandro Lopez came out of the goal and Evandro Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonsinho da Silva during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 97 played minutes Frances got a freekick which was hit by Afonsinho da Silva. Evandro Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Whiplash Football Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
