Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Percy Montenegro started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Percy Montenegro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cacá Soares. The goal made the score 1-0. Cacá Soares stood somewhat misplaced when Percy Montenegro came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 7 minute. 10 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Solonopole SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra F.C the free kick. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cacá Soares was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After 16 played minutes Solonopole SS got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Arantes. 18 minutes into the match, Solonopole SS's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Montenegro came free, but Cacá Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionísio Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Percy Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cacá Soares was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 29th minute of the match Palestra F.C got a corner. Solonopole SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antônio Carlos Costa ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 33rd minute, Dionísio Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Soares stood somewhat misplaced when Percy Montenegro came free in front of goal and shot 5-0 to the left of him in the 37 minute. 42 minutes into the match, Palestra F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Britto came free, but Vitinho Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vágner Messias hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Bruno Velasco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vitinho Fantini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The wind increased when Dionísio Mangueira made the kick off in the second half. Dionísio Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovani Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovani Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Palestra F.C got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Vianna. After having played for 62 minutes, Percy Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Antônio Carlos Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Palestra F.C's Percy Montenegro in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Solonopole SS's goalie prevented a goal. Cacá Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Genílson Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Solonopole SS's Vitinho Fantini threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dionísio Mangueira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vitinho Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dionísio Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Palestra F.C's Vitinho Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Arantes in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Percy Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percy Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Carlos Costa in the 91st minute of play forced Solonopole SS's goalkeeper Cacá Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vágner Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
