Donato da Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Denílson Gaúcho made a huge save. Donato da Silveira struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Denílson Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacata SC. In the 46th minute, Olívio Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 71st minute, Jacata SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Flávio Tinoco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. CFZ's Denílson Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato da Silveira in the 74th minute of play. Olívio Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Donato da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind CFZ's goalkeeper Denílson Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flávio Tinoco in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
