Maurício Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yan Souza's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Mazza got free with Maurício Leal in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Geovânio Teles fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LoKs EC's protests and gave Geovânio Teles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, LoKs EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Teles to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Maurício Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Yan Souza notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of LoKs EC's Maurício Leal. Maurício Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jorge Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Washington Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. Yan Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Leal having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Yan Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cumbe EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 57 minutes into the match, LoKs EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Mazza came free, but Maurício Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to LoKs EC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luisão Pimenta hit a great ball. Maurício Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Souza in the 62nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cumbe EC's zone, Diego Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Brodel came out of the goal and Diego Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, LoKs EC's Miguel Brodel threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Washington Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 72 minutes, Jorge Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cumbe EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jorge Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind LoKs EC's goalkeeper Maurício Leal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, LoKs EC's Diego Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Brodel narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
