A collision led to Celsolandia getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Josué Pinho hit a great ball. After 6 played minutes Celsolandia got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Dantas. After 8 played minutes Cumbe EC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Cunha. Eliseu Valladares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yan Souza went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, Celsolandia's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Souza came free, but Eliseu Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 played minutes Celsolandia got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Paraíba. A collision led to Cumbe EC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Emílio Cunha hit a great ball. When Luiz Guilherme Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Celsolandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Guilherme Rosa couldn't finish the play. If Jorge Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Mazza in the 39th minute of play forced Celsolandia's goalkeeper Eliseu Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

After a rather tough play, Cumbe EC's Kaká Hermes got a free kick in the 51st minute. 55 minutes into the game, Josué Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Celsolandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cumbe EC the free kick. After 55 played minutes Celsolandia got a freekick which was hit by Josué Pinho. When Yan Souza came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Cumbe EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Souza couldn't finish the play. Yan Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yan Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eliseu Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doriva Dantas took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Brodel. Miguel Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Miguel Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Souza in the 80th minute of play forced Celsolandia's goalkeeper Eliseu Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Celsolandia's goalkeeper Eliseu Valladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Mazza. If Jorge Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celsolandia's Eliseu Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Lara in the 88th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Celsolandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Cumbe EC's Yan Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Valladares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Cumbe EC played a much better game than Celsolandia and deserved their victory. The Celsolandia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
