Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Andrade started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Pedrão Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Igor Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Sugar Kane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. If Maurinho Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute Igor Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sugar Kane's Luizão de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Linhares in the 13th minute of play. Igor Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Soares having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Francisco Andrade got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Nando Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Cavalcante came free, but Lucas Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizão de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goalkeeper Lucas Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando Rocha. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras's zone, Maurinho Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Soares came out of the goal and Maurinho Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Lucas Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurinho Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Cavalcante made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival Fantini to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Sugar Kane were awarded a corner. Igor Cavalcante went to the cornerflag to take it. Alexsandro Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 64 played minutes, Palmeiras's Dorival Fantini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luizão de Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palmeiras reached it. Pedrão Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lucas Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Palmeiras's zone, Maurinho Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Soares came out of the goal and Maurinho Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Gernando Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedrão Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Soares having to make a save. Sugar Kane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurinho Leme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Cavalcante's shot from short distance in the 85th minute.
