Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by CSP ESPORT CLUB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pedrinho Senna was slow to take the kick. During this time DELMIRO F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Haroldo Abreu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mazinho Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Novaes in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Novaes in the 30th minute of play forced CSP ESPORT CLUB's goalkeeper Mazinho Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pontus Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, CSP ESPORT CLUB's Túlio Arantes got a free kick in the 34th minute. Mazinho Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th match minute, CSP ESPORT CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jano Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. If Pontus Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute, Pontus Åkesson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mazinho Guedes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. CSP ESPORT CLUB's Mazinho Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Novaes in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gugu Novaes was the one to do the kick off. Pontus Åkesson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Mazinho Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pontus Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pontus Åkesson got free with Mazinho Guedes in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacques Peters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Velasco in the 72nd minute of play. Pontus Åkesson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mazinho Guedes having to make a save. After a rather tough play, CSP ESPORT CLUB's Paulo Renato Velasco got a free kick in the 80th minute. Gugu Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Mazinho Guedes made a huge save. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when DELMIRO F.C.'s Pontus Åkesson in the 88th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Mazinho Guedes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for CSP ESPORT CLUB through an amazing save. 91 minutes into the match, CSP ESPORT CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Novaes came free, but Mazinho Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mazinho Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pontus Åkesson in the 92nd minute.
