The supporters of Triangulo booed when Cervo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Waldemar Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baltazar Camargo made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Sandrinho de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th match minute, Triangulo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Neto to maneuver through the defense. After 21 played minutes, Cervo SC's Vítor Britto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baltazar Camargo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cervo SC reached it. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Triangulo's goalkeeper Baltazar Camargo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Sandrinho de Godoi made a precise shot to the right of Baltazar Camargo. Triangulo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Sandrinho de Godoi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Baltazar Camargo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sandrinho de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Baltazar Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandrinho de Godoi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Baltazar Camargo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sandrinho de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Baltazar Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gino Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Tasso to make the kick off. Edson do Valle hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Sandrinho de Godoi struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Baltazar Camargo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cervo SC. Triangulo's Waldemar Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Cervo SC's Gino Tasso in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Triangulo's goalie prevented a goal. Baltazar Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandrinho de Godoi's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Triangulo defense, Gino Tasso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltazar Camargo. The Triangulo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltazar Camargo should have stopped the shot. Triangulo's Henrique Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gino Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Cervo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandrinho de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cervo SC's Kauan Trevisan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Gino Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltazar Camargo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Triangulo getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Wesley Branco hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Gino Tasso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
