Isaltino Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Fantini in the 5th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Edson gol's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar Negri came free, but Victor Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Valadares went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Isaltino Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio de Amaral in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL's goalkeeper Isaltino Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Toscano. When Júlio de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edson gol's protests and gave Júlio de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Júlio de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio de Amaral came free, but Isaltino Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL booed when Edson gol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute Eusébio Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nilton Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Soares scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Salgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Eusébio Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laércio de Amaral made a kick off. Edson gol's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reginaldo Hoffmann in the 56th minute. The corner led Edson gol's Reginaldo Hoffmann to fire away a dangerous shot which Isaltino Mota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Edson gol's goalkeeper Victor Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Nunes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio de Amaral in the 73rd minute of play forced ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL's goalkeeper Isaltino Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th match minute, ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luiz de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Victor Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Soares in the 82nd minute of the match. Manuel Tasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Salgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Tasso ran back to his position shaking his head. Victor Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL's Eusébio Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusébio Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over ESPORTE CLUBE JUVENIL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Edson gol throughout the match.
