In the 20th minute, Pedrão Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrício Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Bruninho Breckenfeld hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Benedito de Almeida notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Desapregados EC's Baltazar Messias. Baltazar Messias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baltazar Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorival Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jairo de Godoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Baltazar Messias made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jano Passos during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jairo de Godoy sped through Desapregados EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baltazar Messias. Elder Santana charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elder Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Desapregados EC's Elder Santana got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute, Bruninho Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltazar Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo de Godoy in the 72nd minute of play forced Desapregados EC's goalkeeper Baltazar Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltazar Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Simões in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Jairo de Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Messias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 96 played minutes Sapucai got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Linhares. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sapucai had won after a very even match.
