The audience thought a goal was coming when Sydney Urbano got free with Osvaldinho Borges in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Betim FC's Osvaldinho Borges got control of the ball when Rodriguinho Coelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Pedro Luiz de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldinho Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Osvaldinho Borges made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Bambura's zone, Ademar Vidal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luiz Carvalho came out of the goal and Ademar Vidal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Pedro Luiz de Queiroz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osvaldinho Borges. The goal made the score 0-3. The Betim FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bambura's performance. The match ended with a win for Bambura.
