Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Apucarana's Luiz Fábio Trevisan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fábio Trevisan during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rabelo AD booed when Apucarana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Matorin in the 9th minute of play. Rabelo AD's Luís Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gil do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Luís Botelho sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Rabelo AD's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Trevisan came free, but Wágner Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, Apucarana's Elder da Silva made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wágner Meira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Cordeiro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Luís Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil do Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Botelho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgard Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil do Nascimento having to interfere. Gil do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Botelho in the 53rd minute of play. If Carlos Fernando Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rabelo AD's Wágner Meira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Trevisan in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Luís Botelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rabelo AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Guedes lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 67th minute, one of Rabelo AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rabelo AD. Rabelo AD:s Wágner Meira showed great skill when he stopped Beto Torres:s penalty. After a long run with the ball, Beto Torres did a trick in the 70th minute in front of Rabelo AD's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-2. An impressive performance by Apucarana's Beto Torres! After a defensive mix-up in Rabelo AD's zone, Carlos Fernando Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wágner Meira came out of the goal and Carlos Fernando Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Leal during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Walmir Valladares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Rabelo AD manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Apucarana to win.
