After a defensive mix-up in Uniflor's zone, Wilton Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hudson Vianna came out of the goal and Wilton Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Uniflor's Dráuzio Linhares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cauã Chaves. Cauã Chaves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 19 minutes into the game, Joanico's Giovanni Tasso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hudson Vianna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Wilton Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Joanico's goalkeeper Cauã Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wellington Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wellington Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wellington Ribeiro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Joanico's Silas do Nascimento got a free kick in the 38th minute. Giovanni Tasso struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Hudson Vianna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joanico. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilton Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Wilton Meira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joanico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Cauã Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Diniz in the 64th minute of play. A hard shot 74 in the game by Giovanni Tasso from a close distance when the talented Hudson Vianna managed to make a qualified save. Uniflor's players were relieved. Joanico's Cauã Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Linhares in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Diniz in the 78th minute of play forced Joanico's goalkeeper Cauã Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Tasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hudson Vianna having to make a save. In the 80th minute Giovanni Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Uniflor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Joanico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
