Adelino Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Waldemar Luz made a huge save. 7 minutes into the match, Nakapa CR's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Nóbrega came free, but Waldemar Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelino Varela got free with Waldemar Luz in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, Nakapa CR's goalkeeper Waldemar Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Varela. In the 16th minute Arí Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arí Arruda in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonsinho Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 22 played minutes Nakapa CR got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Silva. 26 minutes into the match, Nakapa CR's goalkeeper Waldemar Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Varela. Waldemar Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Augusto Tavares in the 29th minute. Waldemar Luz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Víktor Fernandez. 34 minutes into the match, Nakapa CR's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Nóbrega came free, but Waldemar Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldemar Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Nóbrega in the 36th minute of the match. Cláudio Trigo's late challenge caught a Coroata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Nakapa CR got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Trigo. Waldemar Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Nóbrega in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Coroata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Varela to maneuver through the defense. Arí Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coroata's goalkeeper Afonsinho Ortiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Nogueira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Arruda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Adelino Varela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coroata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 71st match minute, Coroata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Recife to maneuver through the defense. Arí Arruda hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the game, Olavo Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coroata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nakapa CR the free kick. Olavo Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rômulo Nóbrega in the 80th minute of play forced Nakapa CR's goalkeeper Waldemar Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hermínio Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Raúl de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Nakapa CR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Hermínio Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nakapa CR's Waldemar Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Nóbrega in the 93rd minute of play. Afonsinho Ortiz made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Cláudio Trigo sent off a good shot on target. Raúl de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Afonsinho Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
