After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Mathias Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eliézer Paraense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Laércio Duarte showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Arthur Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arthur Mello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliézer Paraense having to make a save. If Laércio Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Glauco Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute of the match, Ricardo Marquez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eliézer Paraense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mathias Vale was the one to do the kick off. Delfim Azevedo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After 56 minutes of play, Cedrolina AD's Ricardo Marquez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliézer Paraense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute Mathias Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
