Magno Domingues took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elivélton Paiva. Corei522GH's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Juarês Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Paiva having to interfere. Júnior Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Álvaro do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro do Vale having to interfere. When Júnior Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Corei522GH fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júnior Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. After having played for 27 minutes, Júnior Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corei522GH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrado Baiano hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Ricardo de Lara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro do Vale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Dé Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Playte's supporters rose to their feet, but Dé Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elivélton Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Túlio de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Elivélton Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Júnior Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corei522GH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 minutes of play, Corei522GH's Bruno Velasco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Álvaro do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Túlio de Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. Elivélton Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Maranhense in the 53rd minute of play forced River Playte's goalkeeper Álvaro do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Elivélton Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When River Playte's Juarês Sabóia in 58 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Elivélton Paiva guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodriguinho Maranhense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Álvaro do Vale. That made the score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. Júnior Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rodriguinho Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71stth minute of the game Rodriguinho Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Playte's Álvaro do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Túlio de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the River Playte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio de Queirós couldn't finish the play.
