Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Jardel Cunha started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Valério Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reinaldo Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dráusio Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cachoera FC booed when Formosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Elivélton Quaresma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jardel Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Valério Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardinho Vidal hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Reinaldo Loureiro's late challenge caught a Cachoera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinaldo Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Formosa's Reinaldo Loureiro got a free kick in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Tomé Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Reinaldo Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Valério Vieira made a huge save. When Cachoera FC's Haroldo Melo in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Formosa's goalie prevented a goal. Reinaldo Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Valério Vieira made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Armandinho de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Haroldo Melo struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dráusio Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachoera FC. When Sidnei Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cachoera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidnei Arruda couldn't finish the play. Dráusio Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Melo in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Formosa's goalkeeper Dráusio Bastos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Haroldo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dráusio Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidnei Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Reinaldo Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Melo in the 89th minute of play forced Formosa's goalkeeper Dráusio Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falcão Matos's late challenge caught a Cachoera FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falcão Matos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute Jardel Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cachoera FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Formosa to leave the ground with a draw.
