A collision led to Tabainha EC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Álvaro da Cunha hit a great ball. joguers's Arí Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquim Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Váldson Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Evandro Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored joguers's protests and gave Evandro Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of joguers booed when Tabainha EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basílio Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Arí Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Peixoto having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Arí Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. joguers's supporters rose to their feet, but Arí Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Messias hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Basílio Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Sarmento made a kick off. 55 minutes in the game, Basílio Dias fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Váldson Valadares having to interfere. Benjamin Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arí Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Arí Pitta struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Benjamin Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for joguers. André Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to joguers getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Tarcisio Teles hit a great ball. Váldson Valadares came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Tabainha EC's Basílio Dias. But to his dismay, Basílio Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Váldson Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Basílio Dias went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 83 minutes into the match, joguers's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Sarmento came free, but Váldson Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Tabainha EC's Joaquim Sarmento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Váldson Valadares. Váldson Valadares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Joaquim Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Váldson Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Sarmento in the 91st minute of play forced joguers's goalkeeper Váldson Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The joguers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Tabainha EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Tabainha EC.
