Donatello Dracena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Luís Fernando Valladares made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar do Valle in the 26th minute of play forced Zamba SC's goalkeeper Augusto Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Club Atlético Furquim's protests and gave Adhemar do Valle a yellow card for diving instead.
