The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Donatello Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the game, one of Futbol Club Barcelona:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Zamba SC. Wilian Costa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Egídio Garcia. 0-1. Agostinho Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Garcia having to interfere. A collision led to Zamba SC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Diamantino Velasco hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Donatello Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Zamba SC's goalkeeper Augusto Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fernando Silveira. Donatello Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Agostinho Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Rodrigues in the 37th minute of the match. Kléber Paraibano hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Zamba SC. Wilian Costa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Egídio Garcia. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd match minute, Futbol Club Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Félix to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Wilian Costa from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Egídio Garcia's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Luiz Fernando Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Agostinho Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Egídio Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Donatello Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70thth minute of the game Agostinho Rodrigues who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futbol Club Barcelona's Egídio Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 71st minute, Agostinho Rodrigues fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Egídio Garcia, passed just outside the right post. Diamantino Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Garcia having to interfere. Egídio Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Rodrigues in the 82nd minute of the match. Donatello Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Egídio Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donatello Dracena came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Egídio Garcia could save by the left post. Egídio Garcia made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Donatello Dracena sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute of the match, Donatello Dracena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Egídio Garcia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Zamba SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
