Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gonçalo Varela took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 5 played minutes Minguinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Décio Sá. Carlos Eduardo Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Britto having to interfere. Murilo Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jardel Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Varela in the 17th minute of play. Cruzeiro Sm's Carlos Eduardo Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murilo Lago might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodolfo Britto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murilo Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. Cruzeiro Sm's Jardel Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Vergílio in the 36th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Cruzeiro Sm got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Galvão. Rodolfo Britto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Eduardo Galvão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 40 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Vágner Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minguinho EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Vergílio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jardel Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Carlos Eduardo Galvão made the kick off in the second half. If Murilo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cruzeiro Sm getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Durval Tepedino hit a great ball. Gonçalo Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Murilo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rodolfo Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience held their breath when Murilo Lago in the 73rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rodolfo Britto's left hand side. After having played for 76 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzeiro Sm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Eduardo Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vágner Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Murilo Lago made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Britto. Minguinho EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Murilo Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cruzeiro Sm walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
