Mauro Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Leme in the 13th minute of the match. Zeca Breckenfeld scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Brito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Rigues Sport Club's zone, Oséas Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Nascimento came out of the goal and Oséas Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Ramos in the 19th minute of play. José Maria de Medeiros was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, José Maria de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Goldens Boys's Edgard do Vale in action when he in the 23rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 26th minute Oséas Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorginho Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Salles in the 30th minute of play. Rigues Sport Club's Sandro Correia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jorginho Brito but with some difficulty. Marcus Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcus Salless short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Jorginho Brito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Olívio Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olívio Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rigues Sport Club's Sandro Correia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Goldens Boys. A collision led to Goldens Boys getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Kléber Zanette hit a great ball. Rigues Sport Club's Sandro Correia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Goldens Boys.

Oséas Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Nascimento having to interfere. Mauro Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Tande in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Rigues Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Didi Leme came free, but Mauro Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Brito having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Dário Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorginho Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Dário Britto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Goldens Boys getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Edgard do Vale hit a great ball. Didi Leme's late challenge caught a Rigues Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Didi Leme helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rigues Sport Club booed when Goldens Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sandro Correia came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Rigues Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Correia couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcus Salles in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorginho Brito saved Goldens Boys from getting behind. After having played for 80 minutes, Dário Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rigues Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauro Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Marcus Salles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorginho Brito was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
