Tauaria's Ian Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guilherme Saldanha charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilherme Saldanha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd match minute, Iequiri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Ian Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Netto having to interfere. Jerônimo Domingues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Chiquinho de Brito skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nuno Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Jacinto in the 30th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Couto in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Netto saved Iequiri from getting behind. Nuno Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian Couto's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Iequiri's Nuno Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Couto in the 39th minute of play. In the 44th minute Zé Pedro Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerônimo Domingues struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Chiquinho de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iequiri. Chiquinho de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Tauaria booed when Iequiri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Iequiri's goalkeeper Nuno Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Couto. After 72 minutes of play, Iequiri's Jerônimo Domingues made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chiquinho de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jerônimo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Iequiri's goalkeeper Nuno Netto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Guilherme Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After taking down the ball on Tauaria's corner Diogo Alcântara fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nuno Netto quite easily take care of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tauaria players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Iequiri.
