In the 6th minute, Geovanni Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salinora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a little luck, Pantera Futebol Clube's Duarte Prata got control of the ball when Geovanni Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benjamim Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Salinora's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Leão came free, but Delfim Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delfim Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik de Sousa in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Leão in the 19th minute of play forced Salinora's goalkeeper Delfim Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Ernesto Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pantera Futebol Clube's Duarte Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Pantera Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Mateus Faustino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Duarte Prata came out and tried to block the shot, but Mateus Faustino slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. If Geovanni Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 42 minutes into the game, Geovanni Leite cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Duarte Prata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamim Britto to make the kick off. When Mateus Faustino came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Salinora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateus Faustino couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Pantera Futebol Clube's Pedro Luís Leão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Delfim Simão. That made the score 3-1 after 57 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Benjamim Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duarte Prata was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. If Benjamim Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juninho Alves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Duarte Prata. After some careless play in the Pantera Futebol Clube defense, Geovanni Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte Prata. The Pantera Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte Prata should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd match minute, Pantera Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chicão Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Geovanni Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Duarte Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Geovanni Leite notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Pantera Futebol Clube's Duarte Prata. Duarte Prata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 95 minutes into the match, Pantera Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Britto came free, but Duarte Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salinora's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
