VOLTA REDONDA's Albertinho Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Magalhães in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Joel Jacinto made a precise shot to the right of Gil Gonçalves. C P D Aço Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Kléberson Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Maicon Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maicon Tróia to make the kick off. When Lauro Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the C P D Aço Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Fernandes couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Basílio Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Joel Jacinto came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the VOLTA REDONDA fans jumped to their feet. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabinho Rosado during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of VOLTA REDONDA booed when C P D Aço Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Joel Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VOLTA REDONDA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind C P D Aço Minas's goalkeeper Gil Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. VOLTA REDONDA's Luiz Guilherme Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85thth minute of the game Joel Jacinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C P D Aço Minas's Gil Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, Lauro Fernandes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertinho Oliveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Joel Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Gonçalves having to interfere. VOLTA REDONDA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
