Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Régis Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Paulo Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Moura got free with Zé Paulo Aguiar in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geovânio Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Secco in the 9th minute of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Cristóvão Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paripe SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristóvão Proença was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovânio Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Proença in the 33rd minute of play. Afonso Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Aguiar having to interfere. A collision led to Paripe SC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Gláuber Viana hit a great ball. The supporters of Poli FC booed when Paripe SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paripe SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Richard de Sena was slow to take the kick. During this time Poli FC's players had a chance to rest. Poli FC's Richard de Sena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zé Paulo Aguiar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Régis Batista made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Afonso Prado took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Geovânio Tavares to make any attempt to save it. Régis Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Zé Paulo Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruninho Tavares hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Zé Paulo Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Moura in the 65th minute of play. Régis Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Poli FC's Afonso Moura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Paulo Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Orlando Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Poli FC's Rodrigo Barral got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes Poli FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Barral. Régis Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovânio Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Secco in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Moura in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Paulo Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 103 minutes into the match, Poli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Secco came free, but Geovânio Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Paripe SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
