The audience was convinced that Nico Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Almeida was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Mariante's Luiz Eduardo de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Toscano in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Mariante's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Britto came free, but Luiz Eduardo de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Fernando Britto to make the kick off. The supporters of Cola na banca F.C booed when Mariante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Monteiro in the 93rd minute of play. Cola na banca F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
