Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vitinho Furtado got the match started through his kick off. Curimatai SS's Severino Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Curimatai SS from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute, Aloísio Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Célio Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Célio Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vitinho Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manoel Félix having to make a save. Leonel Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Perez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manoel Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Severino Moraes made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Abelardo Neiva sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Perez in the 37th minute of play forced Atlético RS's goalkeeper Manoel Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitinho Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Manoel Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Fernando Carioca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manoel Félix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 43 played minutes Curimatai SS got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Cardozo. In the 45th match minute, Curimatai SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Neiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severino Moraes having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Célio Félix made a kick off. When Leonel Perez came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Curimatai SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Perez couldn't finish the play. Manoel Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aloísio Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Perez in the 67th minute of play forced Atlético RS's goalkeeper Manoel Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Atlético RS's Waldir Rocha got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Célio Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Severino Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Félix in the 82nd minute of play. Vitinho Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Félix having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Leonel Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Atlético RS's goalkeeper Manoel Félix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Perez. Curimatai SS were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
