Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enrique Couto started the match with the kick off. Dé Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Jonas Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Couto in the 8th minute of play forced Carovi's goalkeeper Jonas Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aílton Soeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Vicente Falcão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jonas Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Luz in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Zé Carlos Tande fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vicente Falcão, passed just outside the right post. Zé Carlos Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Falcão having to interfere. If Dé Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Soeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Falcão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aílton Soeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute, Luiz Paulo Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Aílton Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carovi's supporters rose to their feet, but Aílton Soeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aílton Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arlindo da Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arlindo da Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arlindo da Cunha hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 48th match minute, Carovi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Arósio to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dé Luz in the 49th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Zé Carlos Tande made the kick off in the second half. Jailson Abraão's late challenge caught a Carovi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jailson Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. Jailson Abraão hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Carovi's Artur Arósio got a free kick in the 64th minute. Enrique Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Chaves having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Aílton Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Fernando Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dé Luz got free with Jonas Chaves in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Carlos Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vicente Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Soeiro in the 82nd minute of play forced Van Halen FC's goalkeeper Vicente Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Carovi getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dino Santos hit a great ball. Carovi's Zé Carlos Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Carovi's Aílton Soeiro in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Van Halen FC's goalie prevented a goal.
