Arí Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Barreto having to interfere. Luizão da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. If Conrado Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes, Cássio Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yuri Sport Club and the Carauba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, Arí Quintal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vicente Barreto. The goal made the score 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell César de Souza to make the kick off. Carauba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
