Paulo Renato França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José Trancoso in the 3rd minute of the match. Manuel Bastos came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Canaa's Leopoldo Lara. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Paulo Renato França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Canaa's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Paranaense came free, but Paulo Renato França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Bastos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Lara in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Canaa's Iuri Prestes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Bastos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Iuri Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes of play, Bastioes SC's Elói Tepedino made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulo Renato França was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the game, Paulo José Trancoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bastioes SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canaa the free kick. In the 23rd minute, Paulo José Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bastioes SC's zone, Zacarias Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Bastos came out of the goal and Zacarias Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the game, Bastioes SC's Paulo José Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Renato França made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. During the 32nd minute of the match Paulo José Trancoso completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Paulo José Trancoso a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Bastioes SC's Paulo José Trancoso got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Paulo Renato França showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Tepedino in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when José Maria Bezerra made the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Lara scored 3-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Bastos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Iuri Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canaa's protests and gave Iuri Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Canaa getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Iuri Prestes hit a great ball. Paulo Renato França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertinho Loureiro took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Bastos. Manuel Bastos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. José Maria Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Paulo Renato França made a huge save. After 65 played minutes Bastioes SC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Dias. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leopoldo Lara in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Bastos saved Bastioes SC from getting behind. Canaa's Zacarias Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Gabriel de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bastioes SC and the Canaa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabriel de Carvalho hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Bastioes SC's Elói Tepedino got a free kick in the 81st minute. The Canaa fans' excitement grew in the 82nd match minute when Canaa's Leopoldo Lara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Canaa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
