Clóvis Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norwich City FC. When Baraunas SS's Edgar Duarte in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leopoldo do Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clóvis Bertassi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo do Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. Fred de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Duarte in the 35th minute of the match. Clóvis Bertassi made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Leopoldo do Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, Aníbal Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Norwich City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baraunas SS the free kick. In the 39th minute, Aníbal Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tales Barros was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pedro Augusto Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Duarte was the one to do the kick off. Clóvis Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Duarte who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Fred de Alcântara when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fred de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Duarte in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Baraunas SS booed when Norwich City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With his leg Fred de Alcântara managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Baraunas SS's Edgar Duarte fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 77th match minute, Baraunas SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Barros to maneuver through the defense. If Edgar Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anselmo Melo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Clóvis Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norwich City FC. Fred de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Souto in the 89th minute of play. Leopoldo do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Norwich City FC had played much better football throughout.
