If Sílvio Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mattinha SC's zone, Erasmo Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Coutinho came out of the goal and Erasmo Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sílvio Batista in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erasmo Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eusébio Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natanael Pontes in the 18th minute. After 21 played minutes Coroata got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Carneiro. Ismael Romero stood somewhat misplaced when Sílvio Batista came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 22 minute. Natanael Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ismael Romero made a huge save. Erasmo Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Batista in the 36th minute of play forced Coroata's goalkeeper Ismael Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Coroata's zone, Sílvio Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Romero came out of the goal and Sílvio Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Maicon Rezende ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusébio Coutinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. Ismael Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Batista in the 53rd minute of play. Dorival Batista hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Natanael Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natanael Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Natanael Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mattinha SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Natanael Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 74 minutes, Erasmo Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coroata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Carlos Eduardo Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mattinha SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Eduardo Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismael Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Maicon Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Batista in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Romero saved Coroata from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mattinha SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Coroata had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
