Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gilson Botelho got the match started through his kick off. Reginaldo Cabral might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waldir Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reginaldo Cabral ran back to his position shaking his head. Waldir Quadros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sílvio Luís Pontes went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Fernando de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wiliam Barros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Miraselva's Waldir Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Cabral in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute Adriano Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Quadros having to interfere. Waldir Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Cabral in the 23rd minute of play. Fernando de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Wiliam Barros made a huge save. Waldir Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Cabral in the 26th minute of the match. If Sílvio Luís Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 minutes, Diguinho Paraibano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curupeba and the Miraselva players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Curupeba's Diguinho Paraibano got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match, Fernando de Queirós got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wiliam Barros was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Curupeba's Wiliam Barros got control of the ball when Fernando de Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Reginaldo Cabral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Waldir Quadros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Reginaldo Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curupeba's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginaldo Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Curupeba's Geraldo Mazza shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Waldir Quadros but with some difficulty. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Miraselva's goalkeeper Waldir Quadros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Curupeba fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Curupeba's Reginaldo Cabral looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gilson Botelho charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilson Botelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilson Botelho hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Waldir Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Botelho in the 76th minute of play forced Curupeba's goalkeeper Wiliam Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Curupeba's Hélio Mineiro got a free kick in the 78th minute. With a little luck, Miraselva's Waldir Quadros got control of the ball when Nicolas Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Waldir Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Pontes in the 84th minute of play. Reginaldo Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Quadros having to interfere. Sílvio Luís Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Waldir Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilson Botelho struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Wiliam Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miraselva.
