Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elano Saldanha got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Sarandy EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Reis to maneuver through the defense. Elano Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venezia's Fred Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Venezia from getting a goal against them. Haroldo Valadares made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 13thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Fred Cabral would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Sarandy EC's zone, Nildo Pernambucano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Camargo came out of the goal and Nildo Pernambucano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nildo Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Haroldo Valadares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fred Cabral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th match minute, Venezia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nildo Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Válter Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Sarandy EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Reis to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Venezia's Natanael Sousa tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nildo Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Camargo having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dário Eger to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sarandy EC's zone, Elano Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Camargo came out of the goal and Elano Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Augusto Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Augusto Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, José Augusto Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Valadares in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Venezia getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Valdir Mello hit a great ball. Gugu das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Cabral having to interfere. If Haroldo Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, Venezia's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Reis came free, but Fred Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute of the game, Haroldo Valadares landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Frederico Zanette's late challenge caught a Sarandy EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederico Zanette helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Sarandy EC. Gilberto Antunes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fred Cabral. 2-0. Felipe Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Gugu das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarandy EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gugu das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Couto in the 85th minute of play forced Venezia's goalkeeper Fred Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felipe Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dário Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes Venezia got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Souza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu das Neves in the 97th minute of play forced Venezia's goalkeeper Fred Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sarandy EC had played much better football throughout.
