If Almir Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Favoretto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Augusto Paes's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Luan Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Reynaldo Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Papera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Alagoano couldn't finish the play. Papera's Pedro Augusto Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Reynaldo Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Augusto Paes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Favoretto having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Almir Félix took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Décio Faria to make any attempt to save it. Edinho Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Amoreira EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edinho Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, Papera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Papera's Décio Faria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Papera from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute, Jairo Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 46 minutes, Reynaldo Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Papera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Alagoano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Almir Félix to make the kick off. Pedro Augusto Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Eduardo Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Papera's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Félix came free, but Décio Faria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Amoreira EC's Pedrão Castro tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Amoreira EC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jairo Novaes hit a great ball. Amoreira EC's Eduardo Favoretto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Amoreira EC from getting a goal against them. Amoreira EC's Eduardo Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto Paes in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Alagoano notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Amoreira EC's Eduardo Favoretto. Eduardo Favoretto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Amoreira EC's Eduardo Favoretto got control of the ball when Reynaldo Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Papera getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eurico Salgado hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
