Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabrício de Almeida started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Ronaldinho Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Quadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Angelo Vasconcelos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Fabrício de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Quadros was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Benjamin Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício de Almeida in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Aguiar in the 16th minute of play forced Itaquari's goalkeeper Vítor Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natã Godoi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vítor Moreira firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 20th minute, Ronaldinho Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Itaquari's Sabino de Almeida got a free kick in the 31st minute. Ronaldinho Prado struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Benjamin Quadros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaquari. After having played for 37 minutes, Angelo Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaquari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelo Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Fabrício de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Itaquari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrício de Almeida couldn't finish the play. Natã Godoi struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Vítor Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremio FPA. Sabino de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Gremio FPA's Benjamin Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Prado in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Juninho Aguiar made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Fabrício de Almeida lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Benjamin Quadros. After 55 played minutes Gremio FPA got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Rezende. 58 minutes into the match, Gremio FPA's goalkeeper Benjamin Quadros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício de Almeida. In the 59th minute, Ronaldinho Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrício de Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Benjamin Quadros made a huge save. Benjamin Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Prado in the 62nd minute of play. Ronaldinho Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Benjamin Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldinho Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juninho Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Vítor Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes of play Gremio FPA's Zé Pedro Rezende was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Itaquari booed when Gremio FPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldinho Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldinho Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 82 minutes, Ronaldinho Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gremio FPA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Fabrício de Almeida scored to the left of an out of position Benjamin Quadros, making the score, 1-3. If Angelo Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gremio FPA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Itaquari were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
