Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Renato Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Itaquari's Vítor Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Ceresso in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Itaquari's Antônio Carlos de Sena got a free kick in the 6th minute. César Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Vítor Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itaquari were furious when Antônio Carlos de Sena was red carded, 10 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 16 minutes of play, Itaquari's Celsinho de Sena made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bruno Faria was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Angelo Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Itaquari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute Paulo Renato Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Itaquari got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Prado. Angelo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bruno Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Itaquari defense, Paulo Renato Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Moreira. The Itaquari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Moreira should have stopped the shot. Celsinho de Sena scored 2-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Faria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Faria made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Celsinho de Sena sent off a good shot on target. If Celsinho de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulão Catarinense's late challenge caught a Placas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulão Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. 48 minutes into the match, Itaquari's goal looked a bit too open when César Ceresso came free, but Vítor Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and César Ceresso made a kick off. The supporters of Itaquari booed when Placas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aluísio Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Renato Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Andrézinho Batista got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 68th minute, Angelo Vasconcelos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Paulo Renato Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Ceresso in the 75th minute of the match. Bruno Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho de Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Renato Guedes got free with Vítor Moreira in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Afonsinho Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Vítor Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Itaquari had won after a very even match.
