Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Júlio Matos made the kick off which started today's match. Téo Salgado came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Mendes EC's Nando Seco. But to his dismay, Nando Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Téo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Tróia in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Matos got free with Durval Neves in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdomiro Freitas struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Durval Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DELMIRO F.C.. DELMIRO F.C.'s Téo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Quintal in the 13th minute of play. Mendes EC's Durval Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Mendes EC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Matos got free with Durval Neves in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mazinho Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Durval Neves made a huge save. When Mazinho Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DELMIRO F.C.'s protests and gave Mazinho Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Mazinho Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doni Souto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Téo Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, DELMIRO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipe Mangueira to maneuver through the defense. Doni Souto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Téo Salgado. DELMIRO F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rodolfo Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Seco in the 31st minute of play forced DELMIRO F.C.'s goalkeeper Téo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mendes EC's goalkeeper Durval Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute, DELMIRO F.C.'s Wilton Mattos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wilton Mattos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of DELMIRO F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wilton Mattos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Mendes EC. Doni Souto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Téo Salgado. 0-2. 41 minutes into the match, Mendes EC's Nando Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Téo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Matos got free with Durval Neves in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nando Seco to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Matos in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Pedro Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes, DELMIRO F.C.'s Roger Santos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durval Neves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DELMIRO F.C. reached it. In the 57th match minute, Mendes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Tróia to maneuver through the defense. In the 58thth minute of the game Júlio Matos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mendes EC's Durval Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernandinho Quintal got free with Téo Salgado in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Júlio Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Vander might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Durval Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Vander ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Mendes EC booed when DELMIRO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mendes EC's Nando Seco in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DELMIRO F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Júlio Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Neves having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Júlio Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdomiro Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durval Neves having to make a save. Durval Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Freitas in the 89th minute of play. Haroldo Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
