Caetano Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Moreira in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Custódio in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Moraes saved Matina from getting behind. The supporters of Matina booed when Voador Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caetano Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieguinho Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
