Beto Moreira started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Matina's goal looked a bit too open when Agostinho Prado came free, but Alexandre Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 5 minutes of play, Matina's Alexsandro Gerber made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falcão Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Matina's Beto Moreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falcão Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Sampaio got free with Falcão Fonseca in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandre Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Prado in the 16th minute of play. Leonardo Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Falcão Fonseca made a huge save. Vladimir da Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimir da Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Darth Vader was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Matina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Gerber to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Beto Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falcão Fonseca was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Leonardo Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matina's goalkeeper Alexandre Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Sílvio Luís Macedo made the kick off in the second half. Leonardo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexsandro Gerber's late challenge caught a Darth Vader's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexsandro Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Matina's Alexsandro Gerber got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Agostinho Prados short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Alexandre Moraes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. David Penha hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67thth minute of the game Beto Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Darth Vader's Falcão Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute, Agostinho Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Leonardo Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Agostinho Prado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Alexandre Moraes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th minute, Leonardo Sampaio made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Fonseca. Darth Vader's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 85 minutes into the game, Matina's Leonardo Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A collision led to Darth Vader getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. David Penha hit a great ball. After 94 minutes Darth Vader's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dieguinho Ferraz who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Matina had won after a very even match.
