Sussuarana EC's Miguel Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Acácio Moraes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Agnaldo Damião to make any attempt to save it. Vasil Pavlov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tiago Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Acácio Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnaldo Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Dário Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Damianopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Dário Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Acácio Moraes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Agnaldo Damião came out and tried to block the shot, but Acácio Moraes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute, Miguel Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Agnaldo Damião. Damianopolis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. After 44 minutes, Vasil Pavlov made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sussuarana EC's Tiago Trigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 58th minute Miguel Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agnaldo Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Acácio Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sussuarana EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Acácio Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Acácio Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agnaldo Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Moraes in the 67th minute of play forced Damianopolis's goalkeeper Agnaldo Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dário Peres during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Acácio Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnaldo Damião having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Sussuarana EC's Acácio Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Agnaldo Damião made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Claudinho Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Trigo having to interfere. In the 80th minute Dário Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Damianopolis's goalkeeper Agnaldo Damião, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Miguel Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agnaldo Damião stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Acácio Moraes's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Acácio Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasil Pavlov in the 89th minute. Agnaldo Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Moraes in the 95th minute of play. If Acácio Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sussuarana EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Damianopolis had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
