Laércio de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laércio de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Paulo Renato Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Laércio de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Quari SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio de Senna couldn't finish the play. Tiago Gabriel Eger's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Paulo Renato Novaes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luiz Paulo Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Paulo Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 minutes, Mazinho de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaudilandia FC and the Quari SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jaudilandia FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Mazinho de Queirós hit a great ball. Tiago Gabriel Eger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Quari SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Laércio de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Paulo Renato Novaes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Renato Novaes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Gabriel Eger in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Lago in the 32nd minute of play forced Quari SS's goalkeeper Hamílton de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiago Gabriel Eger struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Paulo Renato Novaes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quari SS. Tiago Gabriel Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Renato Novaes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laércio de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jaudilandia FC's Paulo Renato Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio de Senna in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match Quari SS got a corner. Jaudilandia FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 63rdth minute of the game Tiago Gabriel Eger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jaudilandia FC's Paulo Renato Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaudilandia FC's goalkeeper Paulo Renato Novaes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laércio de Senna scored 1-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Renato Novaes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 74 played minutes Quari SS got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Medeiros. José Castro, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Tiago Gabriel Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quari SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Gabriel Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
