Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Evaristo Martins got the match started through his kick off. Igaci's Afonso Bezerra got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandrinho Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Adalberto Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sandrinho Rossi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adalberto Mello came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Evaristo Martins. But to his dismay, Evaristo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vitório Pontes made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Afonso Bezerra sent off a good shot on target. Igaci's Adalberto Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Rossi in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Gino de Salles got a free kick in the 24th minute. Afonso Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Vitório Pontes made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Botelho in the 33rd minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Vitório Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Afonso Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Afonso Bezerra fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Igaci booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olívio Botelho in the 46th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Vitório Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olívio Botelho to make the kick off. Afonso Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Vitório Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Igaci. Olívio Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Vitório Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitório Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gláuber Lira in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Corinthians's Evaristo Martins dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Vitório Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Bezerra in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Bezerra in the 69th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Vitório Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olívio Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Afonso Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Vitório Pontes. Corinthians's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Vitório Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Vasconcelos in the 100th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Igaci players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
