David Carioca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Dito Castro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. André Luiz Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dito Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Arósio in the 34th minute of play. Irundi's Cauan de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Cerezo in the 36th minute of play. Cauan de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Irundi booed when Cariutaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Freire's late challenge caught a Irundi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Freire helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Cariutaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Freire to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Augusto Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Cariutaba were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Luiz Arósio was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Frederico de Andrade notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Irundi's Cauan de Andrade. Cauan de Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cariutaba's Dito Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Carioca in the 57th minute of play. If Bernardinho Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 67 minutes of play, Cariutaba's Frederico de Andrade made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauan de Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cauan de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Bernardinho Cerezo put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Cauan de Andrade. Frederico de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cauan de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
