The referee ignored Paula SS's protests and gave Tomé Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. Tomé Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Amauri Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Macedo in the 14th minute of play. Luiz Fernando Macedo struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Amauri Vander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chavantes. In the 18th minute Luiz Fernando Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amauri Vander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kauã Brito in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute Olívio Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fernando Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Amauri Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Olívio Cosme notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Chavantes's Tiago do Valle. Tiago do Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 39 minutes into the match, Martin Hurezeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiago do Valle. Chavantes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Hurezeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Paula SS's Amauri Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Macedo in the 43rd minute of play. Tomé Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago do Valle having to interfere. The Chavantes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Paula SS were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olívio Cosme to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Chavantes defense, Tomé Mangueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago do Valle. The Chavantes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago do Valle should have stopped the shot. Paula SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
