But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Bastos couldn't finish the play. When Robinho Vander fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Falcon FC's protests and gave Robinho Vander a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jales FC booed when Falcon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Vander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvinho Cardozo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amauri Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christiano Brito scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romeu Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. If Christiano Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Falcon FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Raí de Castro hit a great ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Cristian Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jales FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christiano Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvinho Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Amauri Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christiano Brito was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Christiano Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiano Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amauri Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Cardozo in the 84th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
