Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Miguelopolis SC's Aílton Prado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiago Gabriel Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiliam Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aílton Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Japaratinga's Ulysses Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Prado in the 14th minute of play. Andrézinho Amaral scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiago Gabriel Veiga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Andrézinho Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Miguelopolis SC booed when Japaratinga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Erivaldo Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Japaratinga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miguelopolis SC the free kick. In the 29th minute, Paulão Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Aílton Prado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulysses Freitas. Japaratinga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aílton Prado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After having played for 36 minutes, Andrézinho Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Japaratinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrézinho Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wiliam Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tiago Gabriel Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrézinho Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wiliam Pena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiago Gabriel Veiga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Amaral in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Miguelopolis SC's zone, Wiliam Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Gabriel Veiga came out of the goal and Wiliam Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wiliam Pena to strike the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Veiga having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Japaratinga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Macedo to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Japaratinga's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Prado came free, but Ulysses Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysses Freitas came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Miguelopolis SC's Aílton Prado. But to his dismay, Aílton Prado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 70 played minutes Miguelopolis SC got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Prado. After having played for 72 minutes, Wiliam Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Japaratinga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Erivaldo Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Miguelopolis SC's Aílton Prado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulysses Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 84 minutes into the match, Aílton Prado notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Japaratinga's Ulysses Freitas. Ulysses Freitas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Japaratinga's goalkeeper Ulysses Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Japaratinga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
