Wilson Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Wilson Travassos made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Hudson Linhares sent off a good shot on target. Hudson Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Travassos came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Sobrai AD's Hudson Linhares. But to his dismay, Hudson Linhares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Manfredo Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Cafu Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Toledo having to interfere. If Cafu Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cafu Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manfredo Toledo was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After recieving a nice pass, Sobrai AD's Valdemar Pires tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wágner de Toledo to make the kick off. If Wágner de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hudson Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 64 in the game by Jonathan Siqueira from a close distance when the talented Manfredo Toledo managed to make a qualified save. Sobrai AD's players were relieved. In the 65th minute, Duarte Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored Saracura SC's protests and gave Belmiro Paraense a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Saracura SC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Belmiro Paraense hit a great ball. Wágner de Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Travassos having to make a save. Wilson Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner de Toledo in the 73rd minute of the match. Cafu Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Manfredo Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Wágner de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Linhares in the 91st minute of play forced Saracura SC's goalkeeper Wilson Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Wágner de Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hudson Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sobrai AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
